Hallo in der Guthrofangroup hat uns der Stephen gemailt. Bruce veröffentlicht seine erste Single Come to Life und die ersten 200 Personen die im Webstore die CD Beautiful Life kaufen kriegen eine handsignierte Version von Bruce.

Hier die 2 Mails. Das eine ist ein Bericht aus NY und Pressebericht der morgen an die Presse geht und das andere ist wegen der Cd.

Da war noch ein Foto bei wo Bruce die eine Tartan Gitarre spielt. Und bei dem 2. war ein Bild er Cd mit drauf und so ein Emblem aber ich kann das hier net mit reinkopieren.

Guthro Returns from New York Benefit Concert

Chester Basin, NS (SJA)

Bruce Guthro has returned to Nova Scotia after a successful engagement in New York City with his band Runrig. In their America debut, Runrig wowed the audience of the Nokia Theatre-Times Square with their unique sound. With a mighty contingent of Riggies in the crowd, the band gave the first timers a taste of the connection they make with their legions of fans.

“The anticipated moment arrived, the lights dimmed, the band members took their place on stage and began with an instrumental, Solace, and after that out walked Bruce singing A Dance Called America. It was the defining moment for me, my first Runrig concert and there on the stage was my favourite singer singing the songs I had only heard on a CD, never live. It was the start of a very special evening for us and a night we will always remember.” – Paula from Ontario

The concert was in conjunction with NY Tartan Week, and Runrig partnered with Glasgow – The Caring City to raise money for the FDNY and victims of Hurricane Katrina. Bruce is in his 8th year as lead singer of Runrig and tours extensively throughout Europe each year.
(A note about Bruce’s guitar – 100 were custom made for the FDNY, who gave a guitar to each New York ladder house who lost comrades in the events of Sept. 11. Glasgow – The Caring City, was presented with the guitar a few years ago from the FDNY as a thank you for their fundraising efforts. The charity has partnered with Runrig on events such as the New York concert, so they presented the guitar to Bruce so he would play it and let the music come to life.)

Since returning home, Bruce has been busy preparing the first release from his 3rd solo album Beautiful Life. The first release will have a very familiar chorus to most Atlantic Canadians, as the song is used in a TV / radio marketing campaign by the government of Nova Scotia. Come to Life will be released to maritime radio during the week of April 17-21.

Hello All,

Stephen Antle here…I am the operations manager for Bruce Guthro. I managed to corner Bruce on one of the rare days when he is actually here in Nova Scotia, and I made him sign 200 copies of Beautiful Life. Not only could you be one of the first lucky people to hear Bruce’s latest recording (his strongest work to date!), but the first 200 people to buy the CD through the webstore after April 12 will have their copy signed by Bruce himself!

Bruce is currently preparing to release his first single – Come to Life. It will be released to maritime radio during the week of April 17-21, so be sure to call your local radio and request this anthem for the summer of 2006!

danke für die Info. Ich hatte auch irgendwo gelesen, dass man dem Fanclub um Ostern herum beitreten kann.

Wäre nur gut zu wissen wann die 200 CDs weg sind.

Ist da net auch das Symbol von der Mastercard abgebildet? Also das die die akzeptieren.

Also heute geht die News ja erst an die Presse aber die Leute die dort näher wohnen die kaufen die CD viell. noch eher? Dann sind die 200 Cds schnell weg.

Ich hab auch keine Kreditkarte und ich kann mir die CD ja mal signieren lassen wenn ich die Gelegenheit dazu habe.

Ach ja das könnte hinhauen. Steven sagte ja mal was von in 2 Wochen. Weiß net mehr wann das war. Aber könnte jetzt um Ostern sein das die 2 Wochen um sind.
