Runrig bringt Year of the Flood nach UK

When Runrig performed their YEAR OF THE FLOOD concert at Loch Ness in summer 2007 which attracted 18,000 people ,the recording of the show was only released on DVD not on CD !! A very limited amount of CDs were made available to the fan club but never to retail.We are pleased to say that the band has now agreed for us to release the recordings of this momentous concert.It was a day like no other! Saturday 18th August was the day Runrig had chosen for their flagship event of Highland Year of Culture 2007. Almost 2 years of detailed planning had not expected such extreme weather conditions.That day of relentless deluge was to become the wettest ever for the area, in living memory.We are also pleased to say that the quality of the recording is excellent and that it was only the band s view at the time that they couldn t see the need for a CD as they were concentrating on a high quality performance video shoot that prevented them releasing the CD. Over the years there have been many requests to release on CD the recordings of that very special event and now at last we are allowed to.
